I've got a little secret...

I'm so very excited!  I have another featured article in the Autumn 2012 issue of Prims Magazine.

Inside you can find two of my vintage primitive snow ladies.  Plus an article I wrote about the inspiration for these girls.  Hint, hint... something to do with this lady below ;)

AND one of them made it in the table of contents!

Thank you Stampington & Co.!

Prims Autumn 2012 will be on news stands September 1st.

All pictures except snowlady Hazel, are copyright Stampington & Co

summer break is over

We had such a great summer.  It doesn't feel like it should be over.  Remember when the kids would go back to school AFTER Labor day?  Not anymore.

A great thing about working from home is that it slows down right when I want it to and I am able to take a little time off with Lydia.    I did not plan on taking this much time off from blogging and I had great ideas about scheduling posts for the summer, but no, it did not happen that way.

We had our annual 4th of July picnic.  It was so very hot this year.

All the kids....and my mother-in-law :) hung out in the basement. (she's on the sofa back there)

We live close to our local park and have the best view of the fireworks.  I think Dino planned it that way so he NEVER has to take me to see fireworks again.

This summer I did get to do a lot of gardening.

A few of the flower borders. (It's an addiction I tell you!)

And I went a little spray paint crazy.

A pretty pistachio green.  So instantly gratifying.  I'd spray paint my brick house if Dino would let me.  He's so funny that way.

Earlier this month we went away for 14 days to California.

We went wine tasting.

And visited a lavender farm.

And yes that's Disneyland.  My friend has a friend who works for Disney, she gave us passes for both parks free!  So nice when your on a budget.....except my camera broke on the "Tower of Terrorrrr" (can you hear the echo?)

I have to say, it was the best time I have ever had at an amusement park.  It was crowded, but those Disney people figured out a way that you are never really waiting long for one ride.  Everyone is so friendly.  It really is a happy place.

After that, we mostly spent time time hanging out with family and friends.

And that was the best!

So that is our summer in pictures.  I'm looking forward to seeing what you all have been up to this summer.
Enjoy the rest of today.

A quiet summer on the blogger

Most of you know that I am a stay-at-home mom first and then a business gal next.  It seems we've been very busy this summer which has lead me to not much time for sewing or blogging.  School is starting soon and I'll be right back at it.  I've missed all your blogs and am looking forward to catching up real soon.  Thanks for hanging in there with me and thank you for all your friendships and kindness ~ it's my joy! xoxo Jenn
